Occasionally Simon visits schools to introduce children to the wonderful world of puppetry in a lively interactive demonstration that brings together art and craft, design and technology, performance, geography and social studies! Usually he presnts a short puppet play as part of an assembly for the whole school, before visiting two classes, spending an hour in each leaving teachers and children enthralled and inspired. He provides teachers' notes with guidance for follow-up ideas, as his sessions often provide stimulating material for days to come!

He has regularly led puppet making workshops for small groups at the Evelina Children's Hospital in London.
