As well as making puppets for his own use, Simon has made a variety of puppets for television and live events, from Marionettes and Shadow Puppets for BBC programmes, through to adapting the book and animation characters Charlie and Lola for the stage.

Though puppet making is not a major part of his work, he is always happy to consider requests, and if a style of puppet is required that he is unsure about making satisfactorily he has a wealth of contacts that he will refer people to.
